TDI CCR Level 1 ( with /without Deco option)
The TDI Inspiration and Evolution (certification depends on unit/electronics used) is your first step into closed circuit rebreather diving and your first truly quiet diving experience.
Using the latest in technology CCR's maximise your gas supply of Nitrox and provide the optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2). During the dives (minimum of six) your TDI Instructor will teach you all the nesscery skills to conduct CCR dives to a maximum depth of 40 m .
The skills include:
- Setup and maintenance of the unit
- Loop volume management
- Calibration of electronics
- Emergency procedures
- Buoyancy control
- CNS tracking
The TDI Inspiration/Evolution manual provides comprehensive information about the units and how they operate during a dive. Also available is the Inspiration/Evolution build-up check list that can be adhered to the unit case for easy reference.
Module I
This is the entry level certification course for divers wishing to utilise the Inspiration / Evolution Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) for air diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a CCR and to develop basic CCR diving skills to a maximum of 30m using air. No decompression.
Module II
The Mod II course is still an entry level certification designed for divers already holding both Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures OC levels (or equivalent) and 50 dives. This will allow the diver to plan and make dives to a maximum of 45m including decompression.
Pre-requisites for Module I:
- TDI Nitrox Diver (or qualifying certification from another organisation).
- Minimum logged dives: 60
- Minimum age: 18 years old
Pre-requisites for Module II:
- TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and Decompression Procedures Diver
- Minimum logged dives: 60
- Minimum age: 18 years old
NOTE: Mod I certified divers with 30 hrs on the rebreather and 6 months from Mod I certification do not need the Advanced Nitrox and Decompression levels to Take a Mod II class.
If you are aiming to use your rebreather for shallower dives, without deco, then the Module 1 option is the sufficient for you.
If however you are aiming to dive to deeper depths with deco, then we recommend you complete your Advanced nitrox and Deco procedures course first, as this will allow you to certify Level 1 with Deco
